(Close to Central Station) The 'dillos play a "non-contagious" Thursday night show at The Gaelic Club to make up for our cancelled July gig.
The fabulous Martha Marlow will open for us on 28 August as we make up for our postoned show. Martha has been getting rave reviews all over and we are knocked out by her voice, guitar playing and great songwriting. Ferg reckons she's a 21st century Joni Mitchell, high praise indeed. You can check out her talent at the website http://marthamarlow.com/ Have a isten to "These Days." We think that you'll agree that it's a cracker of a song.
Doors will open at 7:30 and Martha will be onstage at around 8:00. Don't miss her!
dmc and The Wild Armadillos will play 2 sets from 9-11 and on this show we will be featuring the new album, "this is what we do" in full. Of course there will also be some old favourites and a couple of great covers so please come and lend your support if you can.
How Doug and Ferg managed to remain flu free I can't say but they've been refining their guitar parts and arrangements for the show so the night should be interesting. We are still keyboardless as Dave and Anni Z are leisurely winding their way to the end of their US holiday.
The night promises to be lots of fun so hope you can join us at The Gaelic Club on Thursday 28 August. It's always good to see our friends. The Blarney Boys at The Orient
